This privacy policy informs you which personal data we process when you visit our website and use our contact and enquiry functions.

2. Visiting the website

When you visit the website purely for informational purposes, technically necessary connection data is processed so that the page can be delivered and the stability and security of the service can be ensured. This may in particular include the IP address, date and time of the request, the requested URL, the referrer URL, browser type and operating system.

The legal basis is Art. 6 para. 1 lit. f DSGVO (Datenschutz-Grundverordnung, the EU General Data Protection Regulation). Our legitimate interest lies in the secure and functional provision of the website. Recipients of this data are the hosting and infrastructure service providers we use. Storage takes place only for the period required for technical operation and for securing the service.

3. Browser storage on your device

According to the code we analysed, our website currently does not use analytics or marketing cookies. For anonymous reach measurement, however, we use the cookie-free service Plausible Analytics, see section c). In addition, technically necessary information is stored in your browser's local storage.

a) Storing your cookie selection

We store your selection from the banner under the key cookie-consent, so that the notice box does not reappear every time you visit the page. The legal basis is Art. 6 para. 1 lit. f DSGVO and § 25 Abs. 2 Nr. 2 TDDDG (Telekommunikation-Digitale-Dienste-Datenschutz-Gesetz, the German Telecommunications Digital Services Data Protection Act). This storage remains in place until you clear your browser's local storage or overwrite your selection.

b) Shopping cart function

If you place products in the enquiry basket, the selected products and configurations are stored under the key riedimed_cart_v4 in your browser's local storage. This is necessary so that the enquiry basket you have expressly requested can be provided. The legal basis is Art. 6 para. 1 lit. b DSGVO and § 25 Abs. 2 Nr. 2 TDDDG.

c) Cookie-free reach measurement with Plausible Analytics

For anonymous, aggregated reach measurement we use the service Plausible Analytics provided by Plausible Insights OÜ (Estonia, EU). Unlike a) and b), nothing is stored in your browser's local storage for this purpose: Plausible does not set cookies, does not store any personal data, and does not enable cross-device tracking or the creation of individual user profiles. IP addresses are not stored. Processing takes place on servers within the EU. The purpose is the statistical analysis of website usage to improve our offering. The legal basis is Art. 6 para. 1 lit. f DSGVO; our legitimate interest lies in the needs-based further development of the website based on anonymous, aggregated usage figures.

4. Contact form

If you write to us using the contact form, we process the information you enter, in particular salutation, first name, last name, email address, phone number, subject and message, in order to process your enquiry and contact you.

The legal basis is Art. 6 para. 1 lit. b DSGVO, insofar as your enquiry relates to the initiation of a contract or pre-contractual measures, and Art. 6 para. 1 lit. f DSGVO otherwise. Our legitimate interest lies in the efficient handling of incoming enquiries.

5. Catalogue request

For a catalogue request, we process the information you provide, in particular name, email address, address, phone number and optional comments, in order to process your request and send you the requested catalogue or prepare it for dispatch.

The legal basis is Art. 6 para. 1 lit. b DSGVO. Without the information marked as mandatory fields, we cannot process the catalogue request.

6. Product enquiries through the enquiry basket

If you submit a product enquiry through the enquiry basket, we process your contact and address data as well as the products, configurations, quantities and optional messages you have selected, in order to receive and classify your enquiry and prepare an individual offer with you.

As part of this processing, a PDF document containing your enquiry is generated server-side and transmitted to us by email together with the enquiry information. You also receive a confirmation email at the email address you provided.

The legal basis is Art. 6 para. 1 lit. b DSGVO. Insofar as commercial or tax-law retention obligations apply, further processing takes place on the basis of Art. 6 para. 1 lit. c DSGVO.

7. Email dispatch and recipients

We use an external email service provider to send transactional emails from the contact form, catalogue request and product enquiry. According to the code currently in use, this is the service Resend. The data required for delivery, in particular sender, recipient and content data, is transmitted to this service.

Recipients of your data also include our internally responsible staff as well as technical service providers, insofar as this is necessary for operating the website, for communication, or for processing your enquiry.

8. Images and media

All product images, illustrations and 3D models on this website are delivered from our own hosting infrastructure. No third-party image or content services are embedded that would transmit your IP address when you visit the page.

9. Storage period

We store personal data only for as long as necessary for the respective purposes. Data from enquiries and business communication is deleted once the purpose no longer applies and no statutory retention obligations remain. Insofar as statutory retention obligations apply, we restrict processing to the extent required for that purpose.

10. Your rights

Subject to the statutory requirements, you have in particular the following rights: access under Art. 15 DSGVO, rectification under Art. 16 DSGVO, erasure under Art. 17 DSGVO, restriction of processing under Art. 18 DSGVO, data portability under Art. 20 DSGVO, and objection under Art. 21 DSGVO.

Insofar as processing is based on your consent, you may withdraw this consent at any time with effect for the future.

11. Right to lodge a complaint

You have the right to lodge a complaint with a data protection supervisory authority about our processing of your personal data. For our company in North Rhine-Westphalia, the competent authority is in particular the Landesbeauftragte für Datenschutz und Informationsfreiheit Nordrhein-Westfalen (State Commissioner for Data Protection and Freedom of Information of North Rhine-Westphalia):
